An early photo of the gathering of hay. I believe the gentleman on the right to be John L. Elmendorf . His son Peter on top of the stack on wagon and his wife Catharine Hasbrouck Elmendorf on the left.It appears as this is the same horse a little earlier in his career. The Dutch hay wagon exists in the barn here. As does all this hay. Again does anybody want some???
