These two section drawings by John Stevens show the first building campaign here at Elmendorf. Both drws show placement of the jambless fireplace and hearth support. The building was one room deep, fireplace on the back wall with the loft above showing placement of smoke hood and the collar ties. A trap still exist to enter the basement space from inside the building. It is located in the front left hand corner. There was a ladder stair to the loft above but the placement has yet to be revealed. These drws also show beam placement and a conjectured hoisting beam .
